Frequently Asked Questions Answered

Q: What can I expect to achieve by taking your workshops and seminars?
A: You will enhance your personal image visually and develop confidence to improve your self-esteem.

Q: Do I need to be a certain height and weight if I want to pursue a modeling career?
A: Although fashion models are generally thought to be tall and thin, there are many different modeling categories and lucrative opportunities exist in each of these. Categories include but are not limited to: Commercial Print, TV Commercials, Petite, Plus-Sized, Lifestyle and Parts (legs, hands, hair, eyes, etc.).

Q: How large will the seminars be and will I receive personal attention?
A: Attendance at each workshop or seminar will not exceed 15 students per session assuring that and each individual participant will receive personal attention.

Q: What will I need to bring to class?
A: Bring a notebook to write down all important information. You will be asked to practice at home as well and you will be given assignments. Be prepared to bring make-up, hair products, your favorite wardrobe articles, shoes and accessories, work-out clothes, a camera (cell phone camera is acceptable) and eating utensils.

Q: There are things I've read about the modeling industry which makes me a bit skeptical. One rumor is that models are required to pose nude?
A: "Absolutely not true." This is a matter of choice and you should never feel pressured into accepting a job which you aren't comfortable doing. If a photographer acts inappropriately, you should never hesitate in reporting him to your agent or to other proper authorities.

Q: Will I need to have a portfolio before going to see agencies or applying for modeling jobs?
A: You will not need a portfolio. However, most legitimate modeling agencies will first ask you to send in a modeling card beforehand. If they have an interest in representing you, they will set up an interview. You will always need to leave a card or head shot after a “go-see” (appointment or audition).
